Frequently asked questions

Ordering, yardage, shipping, trade support, and installation guidance for Schumacher, Phillip Jeffries, and curated wallcoverings. For project-specific help, browse our guides or shop the main catalog.

Ordering

Is there a minimum order for wallpaper?
Minimums depend on the brand and SKU. Each product page lists order minimum and increment per yard or panel. Phillip Jeffries grasscloths and Schumacher prints may differ—add the variant to your cart to see requirements before checkout. Trade and designer accounts can contact us for project quotes above standard minimums.
How long does it take to receive my order?
In-stock patterns on the shop typically ship within a few business days after payment is confirmed. Specialty or mill-held SKUs may require additional lead time; we will note that on your order confirmation. Nationwide shipping is available; West Texas clients may coordinate pickup or local delivery when appropriate.
Can I get samples before committing to full rolls?
Sample availability varies by brand and SKU. Use product pages to note colorway and SKU, then contact us with your selections. Samples help confirm color under your lighting—especially important for grasscloth, metallic inks, and large repeats.

Yardage & panels

How do I estimate how much wallpaper to buy?
Measure each wall’s width and height, then add pattern repeat and waste for matches and corners. Our guide on estimating yardage walks through room shapes, doors, and windows. Murals and panel sets use different math—see the panels and murals category and our panel installation guide for height and width in panels rather than yards.
What is the difference between wallpaper sold by the yard and by the panel?
Yardage goods ship in continuous rolls cut to your ordered length. Panels and murals are pre-sized sets designed for a specific wall height and width. Always confirm unit of measure (UOM) on the product page before ordering. Mixing units on one wall can leave you short; our team can help verify SKU specs.

Shipping

Do you ship outside of Abilene?
Yes. Wallpaper Abilene ships designer wallcoverings nationwide. Orders are packed to protect delicate textures and face weights. Shipping cost and method appear at checkout. For large commercial projects, ask about consolidated freight and receiving instructions.

Returns

Can I return wallpaper if the color is wrong?
Because wallpaper is cut to order and color can vary by screen, returns are limited. Contact us before ordering if you need a memo sample or CFA. If we shipped the wrong SKU or damaged goods, we will make it right. Custom-cut or installed material generally cannot be returned.

Trade & designers

Do you work with interior designers and trade accounts?
We support designers, builders, and trade professionals with product selection, yardage checks, and coordination with installers. Share your project timeline and brand preferences—we curate Schumacher, Phillip Jeffries, and partner lines daily. Mention trade status when you contact us for large orders.

Installation

Does grasscloth need special installation?
Natural grasscloths and paperweaves require careful handling, proper adhesive, and often a skilled installer. Seams may be visible; pattern matching differs from vinyl. Read our grasscloth care and installation guide, browse the grasscloth category, and confirm adhesive compatibility with your wall prep.
Is vinyl wallpaper better for high-traffic areas?
Many commercial and residential high-traffic spaces use Type II vinyl or performance wallcoverings for scrubbability and durability. Grasscloth and silk textures prioritize aesthetics over abrasion resistance. Compare vinyl versus grasscloth in our material guide and filter the shop by type when you browse.
